Increasingly, Pall membrane systems such as Pall Membralox® ceramic membranes are being applied to food processing areas once handled by centrifuges, vacuum filters, and diatomaceous earth. The systems offer benefits of defined performance and fully enclosed sanitary systems. High solid liquids, creams, emulsions and pastes are all processed economically with Pall membrane systems. Examples include clarification of fruit juices, beef tallow, sugar solutions, coffee, and other food additives. Pall hollow fiber membranes are used to clarify brine, gelatin, and various water streams.

Our depth of filtration products and systems are widely used in enzyme manufacturing, corn wet milling, gelatin and edible oil production. They offer the widest array of standard and specialty filter sheets as well as complete systems such as chamber filter presses, plate and frame filters, centrifugal discharge filters, and filter modules for every application.
High flow rate fluid streams are efficiently and cost-effectively handled by High Flow filtration products, which allow cartridge level filtration at a fraction of the cost of using classical filter cartridges.
Process water particulate control, waste water effluent clarification and reuse, caustic recovery, and particle removal from syrups, chocolates, flavorings and sauces are just a few of the liquid filtration applications served by Pall cartridge filters.
Gas filtration is largely associated with bioburden reduction or complete removal of microorganisms from product contact areas and packaging machines. Examples include sterile gas blanketng and sterile venting of product transport and storage tanks. Steam is treated for particulate removal by stainless steel filter cartridges.
In addition to supplying its own filtration products, Pall is able to provide retrofits for many other filtration suppliers, offering the benefits of Pall filtration without additional hardware expenditure.
